LaunchPad Director
Are you passionate about children and helping create better opportunities for families? The Kosciusko Chamber is seeking a collaborative, driven leader to expand access to quality, affordable child care and early learning for children ages 0-5 years in Kosciusko County!
The LaunchPad Director role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing people together, building community partnerships, and advocating for solutions that strengthen families and support workforce development.
AND (this is a big and) you’ll join a small but mighty, award-winning team of professionals at the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, where the LaunchPad program is housed and operated. What’s even better is that you’ll work in a community that was recently recognized as “Community of the Year” by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. BIG things are happening here, and YOU can be a part of it!
What You'll Do
· Lead and monitor progress and outcomes of LaunchPad’s strategic initiatives
· Bring together and collaborate with key community stakeholders
· Develop and monitor budgetary requirements associated with the coalition
· Participate in fundraising and grant writing to advance early learning initiatives
· Develop messaging on the importance of quality child care and early learning to share with LaunchPad members, partners, legislators, and the broader community.
· Participate in professional development opportunities at the state, regional, and national levels to strengthen skills, knowledge, and service coordination.
· Provide required records and reports for funding sources to track progress and outcomes
· Take leadership in developing reports, presentations and data interpretation for stakeholders and the public
· Coordinate and facilitate meetings including leadership team, coalition, and work group meetings.
· Serve as a key resource for local childcare providers
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a self-starter with strong leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills. They are passionate about supporting children and families, comfortable engaging diverse groups of stakeholders, and energized by solving problems together.
Preferred qualifications include:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Experience with grant writing, fundraising, and project management
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience facilitating meetings, groups, or community conversations
· Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining flexibility
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media
· Three or more years of leadership experience in early childhood education, community initiatives, nonprofit programs, coalition-building, or related work
No prior experience in education or childcare needed.
