YAP has a desire to show young people in our community what Kosciusko County has to offer and to provide opportunities for them with a three tier philosophy in mind: Leadership, Networking and Philanthropy. We want to be leaders in our workplace and community, to socialize and network with others, and to create a more healthy community through philanthropy.
Do you want an opportunity to meet fellow young adult professionals and leaders in our community but dislike stuffy, formal business events? Well, make sure you check out the upcoming YAP speed networking event on July 9th from 5:30 – 7:30!
Speed networking is a lot like speed dating – you sit down with someone for one to two minutes, discuss a question designed to spur conversation, see if you hit it off and then move on! It’s a low-pressure, high-speed, casual, fun way to meet people. The best part is, when the Q&A portion is done, you can meet back up with people you enjoyed chatting with. This event will be at the Junction, located at 501 Argonne Rd, Warsaw.
Young Adult Professionals (YAP) started in 2007 with a desire to show young people coming into community what we have to offer in Kosciusko County and provide additional opportunities for them.
YAP’s works off a simple three tier philosophy:
To be Leaders in our community and workplace; To Socialize or Network with others in our community; and to be Philanthropic which creates a healthy community.
We have monthly gatherings to bring young people from around Kosciusko County to our events that include our Lunch Club for networking, Lunch N’ Learn where we try to teach you something and Lunch Reach where we use our lunch hour to serve the community.
Everyone gets together at a local restaurant. Great chance to casually sit down and network with your peers. Extremely relaxed, informal and easy going atmosphere. Our most popular monthly event by far! You will need to RSVP for this event and you are responsible for your own lunch.
During our lunch, we have community leaders come to speak to us on a variety of topics relative to young adult professionals. You will need to RSVP for this event and you are responsible for your own lunch unless otherwise indicated.
We give up our lunch hour to serve the community. We find out more about that particular non-profit, help them, and let the community know more about them through our effort. We want to be leaders to the young and old by modeling a good example of stewardship. You will need to RSVP for this event and you are responsible for your own lunch unless otherwise indicated.
