Groundbreaking at new Downtown YMCA

Congratulations to the Kosciusko Community YMCA on their groundbreaking for the new Downtown YMCA yesterday! This will be the third facility operated by the YMCA in Kosciusko County.The new facility is part of Gateway Grove, a residential development located just west of downtown Warsaw. It will reclaim the gymnasium that was part of the old Madison Elementary, and will be the first YMCA in the county to offer a 24/7 workout room.The project has been supported by K21 Health Foundation, Lake City Bank, Kosciusko County’s American Rescue Plan Act, as well as investment from the Groninger family.Renovations of the 13,000 square foot facility are expected to cost upward of $2.7 million and should be complete by early 2024
