Congratulations to our Community Development award recipient, Kosciusko Connect!Kosciusko Connect is a subsidiary of Kosciusko REMC. In 2019, when Kosciusko County was looking to solve the broadband problem in our community, KREMC began looking into what a broadband project would look like for them. Theydid their due diligence with vendors and finding the right strategic partners and worked to determine how great the need was with their membership.During the pandemic, when access to internet was crucial for everyone, it became very clear that they needed to help solve the broadband issue. Therefore, in September 2020, the KREMC Board voted unanimously to begin the fiber project.Kosciusko Connect is a broadband service provider offering symmetrical internet speeds to residential and business customers inside Kosciusko REMC’s service territory. They offer residential and business internet and telephone, add on packages that protect devices connected to your network, and additional services.Since December 2021, they have connected nearly 5,000 customers, and they continue to expand their services. The future looks very bright for Kosciusko Connect!
