     We had our April Chamber Member Tour along Argonne Road in Warsaw. Our first stop was at Warsaw Chemical! Warsaw Chemical was founded in 1941 and their company began with a product line consisting of an acid bowl cleaner and a mechanics-type hand cleaner. Today, they proudly offer more than 800 different products to customers in nearly every industry throughout the United States!
     Warsaw Chemical has always been privately owned. Approximately 70 people are employed by the company and their products are distributed throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Warsaw Chemical is located at 390 Argonne Rd, Warsaw.

Recently, we took a tour of Winona Powder Coating! Winona Powder Coating is dedicated to providing their customers with products of the highest quality, the quickest turnaround, and the most economical price.

We recently stopped by to see our member, City-County Athletic Complex (CCAC). Their mission is to satisfy the recreational needs of our community and to promote wholesome family activity for children and their families for generations to come. The City-County Athletic Complex is a private not-for-profit sports facility with 8 lighted softball/baseball diamonds, one lighted regulation size soccer field, one non-lighted regulation soccer field, and thirteen various sized soccer fields.

Thank you to Grace Village Retirement Community for hosting us for a tour recently!
Grace Village is the only not-for-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Kosciusko County. They have 58 condo style homes called “Robin Hood Homes”, 117 Independent Living Apartments that include studios, efficiencies and 1 to 2 bedroom apartments and their Licensed Assisted Living has 52 studios and suites. Their Health Care offers both intermediate and skilled nursing care and they also have a beautiful Rehabilitation Center with 12 private suites. Grace Village is situated on a beautiful 43 acre campus, located at 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake.

Last week, Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County hosted us for a member tour! At AWL, all animals are welcomed into their care providing they have room. They never euthanize for space and do everything possible to find them forever homes.
Working with an overflowing population of pets requires constant attention, health care and love. Their passionate staff works hard to maintain a clean, healthy facility, and to provide love while they are in our care. Every pet that they take in gets a complete wellness check. They provide microchips, vaccines, spay/neuter, and any needed health care.
They feel that pets are a wellness program for all people. Especially for their older population in the county who participate in their “Life Style Pets for Seniors” by adopting their Senior shelter pets. Pets keep them active just by walking them, taking them out to potty, feeding them and playing with them. Pets are family and provide Unconditional Love and Companionship.

We love touring businesses around the county! Last week, we toured Ferguson Farms in Leesburg.
Their experienced personnel are familiar with all facets of trailer and floor system repair and service, including heavy repair following accidents and wrecks. They install, service, and repair wet kits; repair hydraulic systems; repair belt trailers; and have all necessary parts in stock. They sell new and used live floor and belt trailers and rent live floor and belt trailers as well. Ferguson Farms prides themselves on carrying a large inventory of floor system parts for both KEITH and Hallco brand floors.

Thank you to Lake City Gymnastics for giving our staff and Ambassadors a tour of their new building yesterday! The space is looking great and we are so excited to see it when it’s finished!
Lake City Gymnastics is the only private gymnastics center within 30 miles of Warsaw. Your child will learn to excel in gymnastics from their experienced coaches while receiving positive reinforcement in an encouraging environment.
They have been open since 2019 and enrollment has grown to more than 500 students. Classes include preschool gymnastics, girls’ gymnastics, tumbling, and Ninja Core for boys. The Lake City Gymnastics Elite Travel Team competes in the Junior Olympic program, which is run through USA Gymnastics.

We enjoyed visiting Adventureglass last week! Adventureglass was founded in 1987 in North Webster. In the beginning, Adventureglass operated a small amusement park in North Webster. In the early 1990s, they developed the first swan and duck paddle boats, initially intended for use in their amusement park. After closing the amusement park, they transitioned into building paddle boats, modern real sternwheel riverboats, and other products. Many major theme parks, zoos, state and city parks, as well as several major resorts around the world have used their boats for many years.

The North Webster Community Center (NWCC) was established in 2002 to restore and preserve the former North Webster elementary school into something special for the community.
The NWCC Board of Directors initially raised 1.4 million dollars to renovate the building, which is currently being utilized by the entire surrounding community. Today, the NWCC has become the home of many local groups and businesses, such as the Kosciusko Community YMCA, Senior Primelife Enrichment Center (SPEC), The Watershed Foundation Inc, and NWCC Massage Therapy.
In addition to these year-round tenants, the NWCC facility hosts a variety of events including weddings, fundraising events, the Mermaid Festival Pageants, election polls, health screenings, class reunions, birthday parties and countless Boy Scout, Girl Scout, lake association, town council, service clubs and support group meetings.

The Watershed Foundation (TWF) is an environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting and improving water quality in the lakes and streams of the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed.
Founded in 1997, the organization began as the Tippecanoe Environmental Lake and Watershed Foundation (TELWF). TELWF’s first volunteers were residents of Lake Tippecanoe who recognized that to protect individual lakes a larger vision was necessary, a focus on the entire watershed. Thus, TELWF became TWF: The Watershed Foundation.
Today, TWF works to protect water resources throughout the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed, a land area that covers 236 square miles and contains over 60 lakes, many creeks and streams, and the Tippecanoe River.

We were recently able to tour the newly renovated cabins at Camp Crosley! The awesome renovations were done by our member, Coplen Construction Inc!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to tour and learn more about the Warsaw Municipal Airport! The Warsaw Municipal Airport offers two mile-long runways, courtesy cars, and safety features as found at larger airports. With the installation of an Instrument Landing System (ILS) in 1994, all categories of aircraft can conduct instrument landings at the Warsaw Airport with weather minimums of a 200-foot ceiling and 3/4-mile visibility. The ILS provides better and safer access to Warsaw and is an economic development attraction for future businesses wishing to locate to or expand within our community.

We recently toured Buhrt Engineering! Since 1977, Buhrt Engineering has been known for its quality fabrications, including design and installation services serving a diverse industrial customer base.
